... this full moon is on Friday 13th June at 5.11am, UK time.
And what's it all about? well firstly, my perspective is that Friday 13th is just another day astrologically, it's not lucky or unlucky, so don't be put off by that date!
Next, a full moon is always a beautiful symbol of culmination or fulfilment; it indicates contentment and satisfaction relating to a finish line or completion of certain situations.... also it can indicate movement where there is inertia/stuckness, and a turning point where there is the call for new direction.
Sagittarius is all about direction, and chosen paths, whether these are literal journeys or paths of belief and faith. This moon in Sagittarius is full of faith and promise about the road ahead. The challenge is to keep the faith when it comes to new opportunities and especially when it comes to opportunities to feel and express self confidence and self worth.
The writing below, by the wonderful Anita Moorjani, gets the moon in Sagittarius message across perfectly.... Sagittarius is the sign that enjoys learning and expanding through life experience more than books (although very at home in a classroom as it's about expansion and growth); so who better than Anita Moorjani's words of wisdom to fit the mood of the moon, and to offer authentic quality guidance on how to deal with what life throws us at this time (or any time!)
Happy full moon,
Namaste
Barbara
"I understood that true joy and happiness could only be found by loving myself, going inward, following my heart, and doing what brought me joy. I discovered that when my life seems directionless and I feel lost (which still happens to me frequently), what it really means is that I’ve lost my sense of self. I’m not connected with who I truly am and what I’ve come here to be. This has tended to happen when I stop listening to my own internal voice and give my power away to external sources, such as TV commercials, newspapers, big drug companies, my peers, cultural and societal beliefs, and the like.
Previously when I felt lost, one of the first things I did was to search outside for answers. I looked to books, teachers, and gurus, in the hope that they’d provide me with the ever-elusive solution. That’s exactly what I did when I was first diagnosed with cancer. But I only ended up feeling even more adrift because I was giving my own power away again and again.
I FOUND THAT HAVING AN INSIDE-OUT VIEW MEANS being able to fully trust my inner guidance. It’s as though what I feel has an impact on my entire universe. In other words, because I’m at the center of my cosmic web, the Whole is affected by me. So as far as I’m concerned, if I’m happy, the universe is happy. If I love myself, everyone else will love me. If I’m at peace, all of creation is peaceful, and so on.
If things seemed challenging, instead of trying to change them physically (which is what I did pre-NDE), I began checking in with my internal world. If I’m stressed, anxious, unhappy, or something similar, I go inward and tend to that first. I sit with myself, walk in nature, or listen to music until I get to a centered place where I feel calm and collected. I noticed that when I do so, my external world also changes, and many of the obstacles just fall away without my actually doing anything.
What I mean by being “centered” is experiencing being at the center of my cosmic web, being aware of my position. This is really the only place any of us ever are, and it’s important to feel our centrality at the core of it.
But from time to time, I would forget my central place in the cosmos. I got caught up in all the dramas, contradictions, angst, and pain of the physical world and couldn’t see myself as one of the expanded, magnificent, infinite beings we all truly are.
Luckily, I realized at those times that we never really become disconnected from the center. Rather, we temporarily lose sight of it and don’t feel the sense of peace and joy that comes from it. We get caught up in the illusion of separation and can’t see that happiness and sadness go hand in hand—like light and dark, yin and yang. Our sense of disconnection is simply part of the illusion of duality that makes it difficult to see oneness forming out of perceived separation. But getting centered means seeing through this and once again feeling our infinite place at the center of it all . . . at the center of oneness.
I still had the visceral knowledge that we’re all one with the universe. Therefore, I knew that even while I’m in my physical body, whether I’m aware of it or not, I am at the center of the great cosmic web that is the universe! This is the same as realizing my magnificence and my connection to the Infinite." ~ Anita Moorjani, from Dying To Be Me

June 2014 Horoscopes
We are racing through the year yet again! June already! Here's the horoscopes for this month, hope you enjoy :)
Aries
21st March – 20th April
The year has moved forward in fits and starts; sometimes
your motivation was strong, sometimes not, sometimes it felt better to stop and
wait a while, sometimes to retreat. It was all a bit unpredictable, which
matched your restless mood. January and April were key months in this, and
whatever happened at that time is somehow relevant again during June, only now
you’re finally moving beyond any sticking points in your own mind or in outer
circumstances (especially 13th and 25th). Certainly as
far as relationships go, it’s clear that while there’s no more going back,
there’s more freedom to feel more at home (especially from the 27th).
Taurus
21st April – 21st May
Venus, planet of wealth and worth is your planet, and it
continues its home visit to your sign till the 23rd. This indicates
increased focus on relationships, whether business or pleasure, including the
relationship you have with yourself; ownership, values and attraction are your
interest now, especially around the 9th and 18th, and
also under the financially focused full moon on the 13th that calls
powerfully for you to respond to any circumstance with self-approval and
self-appreciation. Second half of June is about pushing forward with (rather
than pushing aside) certain intuitions or gut feelings you’ve had this year.
It’s time to go with the flow on all that.
Gemini
22nd May – 21st June
The sun is in your sign till the 21st, followed by
harmony-seeking Venus from 23rd, so the world feels more on your
wavelength, while confidence, creativity and clarity all get a boost. Your
ruling planet Mercury is retrograde from the 7th, which
traditionally is the time when computers, communication and schedules get
scrambled or delayed; maybe this is most likely around 17th or 25th
but there’s method to the madness of changes in timing or direction so relax
into any twists and turns. Also, a full moon on the 13th focuses on
fulfilling relationships, while a new moon on the 27th connects to
new income and resources.
Cancer
22nd June – 22nd July
There have been times this year (January and April
specifically) where you’ve felt unsettled about long-term goals and plans, with
unpredictable and unexpected events to contend with (especially relating to
home and family), and you felt the need for more freedom within long-term
commitments. Up to now it hasn’t been resolved in a satisfying way but maybe
events during June hit the spot for you. From the 7th you notice you’re
looking at things differently, which makes all the difference when the
unsettled feelings re-emerge (maybe midmonth, most likely final week), and the
beautiful new moon in your sign on the 27th symbolises renewed faith
and confidence in your future.
Leo
23rd July – 23rd August
It’s a busy, fun and social first start to June, with
focus on friendships, groups and gatherings, and reconnections to familiar
places and faces you haven’t seen for a while. The full moon on the 13th
emphasises all this and encourages your adventurous spirit out to play. After
the 21st you’re ready to slow the pace somewhat and take some quiet
time to yourself, with a new moon on the 27th all about finding
solace in your favourite comfort zone, but there’s still plenty to dive into as
this is also the time that certain communication suddenly moves forward in a
way you’ve been waiting for, all year in some cases.
Virgo
24th August – 22nd September
Mercury is retrograde from the 7th (appearing
to move backwards). It means a change of mind or approach might be needed,
especially linked to friendships, groups and gatherings, and from midmonth a
re-think regarding career or long-term plans and ambition. Sounds like a lot to
think about in one month, but really there’s been a long build-up to all this
that makes it the next logical step to crack on with. Links to January and
April this year are also relevant around the 17th, and as far as
relationships or contracts go, there are beautiful new beginnings from the new
moon on the 27th, with important links to the past.
Libra
23rd September – 23rd October
From the 7th the urge to return to education
or to broaden horizons is strong (maybe career linked?) especially around the
21st when planet Venus moves to the travel and expansion area of your chart.
Midmonth, particularly during the full moon of the 13th, your
buttons are being pressed big style (maybe connecting to January and April
somehow?) but resist blaming others (or yourself) as defensiveness and denial
only keeps you tethered to a negative spot. By the final week of June you
understand that balance is never achieved by focusing on imbalance, and that’s
the kind of invaluable wisdom you just can’t learn in any class.
Scorpio
24th October – 22nd November
Certain changes you’ve wanted to make this year stalled
for quite some time, leading to frustration and guilt about not pushing things
hard enough. But let the self-disapproval go (especially midmonth, and
particularly full moon time around the 13th), and let this month show
you how things really move only when the time’s right. Maybe it’s a case of
third time lucky now, linking back to January and April somehow; maybe you will
see the same old obstacles stack up, but now you move easily beyond them after
applying what you learned in past months during delays. The lesson is that no
time is ever wasted.
Sagittarius
23rd November – 21st December
An adventure-loving full moon in your sign on the 13th
shakes your restless spirit into action, and there’s a return journey in store
this month; maybe to the right time and place to finish unfinished business, or
perhaps you or a partner backtracks on recent decisions (it’s likely temporary
and can be beneficial). Circumstances linking back to January and April might
also be significant (especially around the 17th and 25th),
while both business and love benefit from wealth and worth planet Venus moving
from the 23rd. Finally, a new moon on the 27th indicates
new experiences requiring trust and intimacy that feel like home sweet home.
Capricorn
22nd December – 20th January
Trying to get the balance right on work life versus home
life is just one of the recurring issues this year (particularly January and
April). It’s been difficult to plan or look long-term at many areas at times,
either down to circumstances or because you wanted a very different path that wasn’t
moving forward as you’d like. Those issues might surface again this month, but
this time more productively. Key relationships figure highly in this, notice
the change of mind or direction in partnerships from the 7th, and
feel your faith restored in others under the new moon on the 27th.
Aquarius
21st January – 18th February
Deep and perceptive insights about life, love and the
universe have flowed easily though wordlessly to you for a long time now; meaning
certain ideas that often unpredictably pop to your mind haven’t been that easy
for you to describe or express to others with the fullness you first received
them. And because Aquarius believes it’s all better out than in, this led you
to doubt their relevance at times. June is about progress on this, and even
though it might feel annoying or deja-vu when the same old situations show up
again (maybe related to January or April?), this time you aren’t lost for words
when it matters most to you (13th, 17th and 25th
in particular).
Pisces
19th February – 20th March
Family reunions, nostalgia, or old home comforts might be
in store from the 7th. Venus also moves into your family and home
chart from the 23rd, indicating harmony, balance and bridge-building
are priorities this month, with maybe a bit of a restyle or redecoration for
you home too. Whatever was left unfinished from January or April time looks
likely to get the go ahead this month and be prepared to sail through any
previous sticking points, especially midmonth and around the 25th.
The new moon in your creativity chart on the 27th is fabulous for
fun, entertainment and general good times. Pick a project and put your heart
and soul into it.
