August Horoscopes

Aries
21st March – 20th April
You are protective of priorities regarding home and family, especially around the 9th, as it’s your priorities that feel prodded or pushed, either by a work situation or by certain long-range plans or ambitions. It’s easy to feel backed into a corner at that time, which can result in some uncharacteristic behaviour - all down to your unwillingness to compromise on the freedom your current desires tempt you towards. But a fabulous new moon on the 29th in the problem-solving area of your chart indicates solutions are ready to show; it’s just a matter of time before things click into place.

Taurus
21st April – 21st May
It’s all about keeping things perspective, firstly regarding matters at home or regarding family and close emotional attachments, as it’s easy to overstretch or overdo things, especially during the first week. The same goes for career matters, as Neptune’s return into this area of your chart can play on your imagination and make you feel invisible or overlooked, or that you just aren’t seeing what’s important. There’s a turning point though from the 30th with Jupiter retrograde, when you become the change you want to see.

Gemini
22nd May – 21st June
It’s Mercury retrograde time again from the 2nd; always a review period for Gemini, and a time for looking at situations in different ways. But with Mercury clashing with foggy Neptune there’s a blind spot in your perspective which means you aren’t getting the full picture just yet on key situations, so don’t be too quick to come to firm and final conclusions about anything until you’re confident with clarity; this is likely to be from the 27th, especially around the 29th when sharp and solid new moon energy finds and fills the gaps.

Cancer
22nd June – 22nd July
Communication can get confusing from the first week with Mercury retrograde (appearing to move backwards) while clashing with nebulous Neptune. It’s too easy to take things the wrong way, or spiral in an unwanted direction, so cut yourself and others some slack while things sort themselves out. This is most challenging for relationships around the 9th when what’s been bottled up easily pours forth, and the 24th when you feel limits are stifling, but final week in general holds a turning point and evolution of situations, as a result of those learning curves. There’s a positive to any negative this month.

Leo
23rd July – 23rd August
First week isn’t best for risks and gambles, unless you’re feeling confident and grounded about what you can imagine happening. It’s also not easy to feel clear about relationships now Neptune’s back in that area of your chart, especially around 8th and 21st, but still, the full moon on the 13th might help you sort through this, especially with lovely Venus sparkling in your sign, putting a twinkle in your eye. Your reward for looking before you leap starts with a turning point from the 27th, and the new moon on the 29th is validating a new sense of security.

Virgo
24th August – 22nd September
Mercury retrogrades (appears to move backwards) in your sign from the 2nd, which means a change of direction, or review of an issue, for what feels like very personal reasons. But with foggy Neptune clouding things at the same time, it’s hard to get the facts straight, or to make sense of available info, especially relating to relationships somehow. Give it time and enjoy the journey till the turning point around the 26th. The 9th is volatile but sexy, 23rd is enlightening, and the 29th is amazing: a scintillating new moon in your sign lines you up for special times, now and for the future.

Libra
23rd September – 23rd October
It’s a fun in the sun kind of first week that is sort of the calm before the storm around the 9th, when macho Mars clashes with power-struggle planet Pluto. Sounds ominous but handled with care this kind of confrontation-loving energy can clear the way ahead, as Mars rolls up sleeves to dive into areas deemed too messy to get involved with. This vibe can rumble on through the month in key situations (just don’t get judgemental about whose right and wrong), but oh, romance makes it all worth it around 25th and 29th: a new phase in relationships is ahead.

Scorpio
24th October – 22nd November
It’s a ‘trust the process’ kind of month - it’s not time to lose faith and it’s not time to force things into place - especially around the 9th when your planetary rulers, Mars and Pluto, have a volcanic meeting that stirs up all sorts of emotions in response to tricky relationship dynamics. Communication is off on a tangent at work from the 8th, and limitations in general frustrate you around the 24th. But there’s a startlingly brilliant new moon on the 29th which transforms friendships, groups and gatherings, as well as positively influencing all relationships: this new moon means new opportunities for you.

Sagittarius
23rd November – 21st December
What with Mercury retrograde from the 2nd, there’s likely to be backtracking, retreating and reviewing in relationships. It’s a temporary thing (till the 27th), and positive in the sense that misunderstandings or mistakes increase desire for improvement (absence makes heart fonder, etc). There’s an amazing new moon for your career/finances on the 29th when things start clicking into gear all over the place. Your ruler Jupiter retrogrades from the 30th, so there’s a change of perspective coming, and another review period; especially regarding approach to health and fitness.

Capricorn
22nd December – 20th January
Don’t curse delays or reschedules with travel plans; rearrangements might work better and you always get there in the end anyway. Long distance reconnections or reunions are on the cards too; as well as a new twist in journey of education or learning experience, which is especially satisfying around full moon time on the 13th. Relationships are going places too, but maybe into messy dynamics around the 9th, so transform resentment and grudges with understanding. There’s a truly beautiful new moon for you on the 29th; this excellent planet alignment symbolises new and satisfying feelings of alignment between you and your plans.

Aquarius
21st January – 18th February
From the 8th, imaginative Neptune returns to your sign till next Feb. The downside of Neptune is it turns you into a space cadet at times, from all that adventuring down inter-dimensional pathways of your mind (especially around the full moon in your sign on the 13th); there’s also absent mindedness, and emotional overwhelment. The latter works both ways: there’s the kind that melts you into tears over a long lost love on a rainy Sunday, or there’s the kind that melts you into tears over the genius of a top tune belting out through sunny day vibes. Choose wisely. Choose easily.

Pisces
19th February – 20th March
Your ruler Neptune retreats from your sign on the 5th till early next year. Go with the flow of any wispy, misty, or ‘missing out’ kind of vibes (especially around the 9th), as you readjust to having to pick up Neptune’s signal subconsciously again for a while; which means it’s all dream diaries and gut instinct again till next Feb. It’s challenging, as there’s confusion to make sense of in relationships from the 2nd with Mercury retrograde till the 27th; but there’s a shining star of a new moon on the 29th in your relationship house: Love looks lucky, that’s for sure.
