At 1.11pm UK time on 17th, it's the annual new moon in Pisces. New moon is next to the healing asteroid Chiron and square to fiery Mars. New moons are about new beginnings and seeds sown that will grow and bear fruit later, and with Chiron and the sign of Pisces, it’s a very healing new moon indeed.
The watery sign of Pisces is about big emotional waves of wonder and reverie; be it via love, romance, art, music, stories, religion, food, drugs or alcohol, it’s about how, where and why we want to be moved by strong currents of dreams, desire and yearning. The bigger the better. The more sacred and cherished the better.
Because of this, one of the keywords for Pisces is ‘surrender’. Surrendering to the experience; giving up, giving over and going with the flow of it. It’s about non-resistance, non-defensiveness. No bounds and no limits. It’s a vulnerable, open, divine, and irresistible place to be.
Chiron is unresolved wounds and hurts resurfacing in order to experience the relief of the remedy. Mars is that masculine or yang drive for action and pursuit of goals and desires. Mars square to chiron this week has brought up a lot of old wounds and hurts connected to the Mars or masculine issues, but the new moon is a powerful symbol of a new phase, in which we surrender to the remedy, answer, or solution.
So for example, in the past you or others might have acted (Mars) in ways that felt hurtful (Chiron) to you, and this new moon energy is calling forth a powerful new emotional response (moon) in answer to all that. Perhaps the one who feels hurt will receive an antidote or solution, or perhaps the perpetrator redeems themselves somehow.
Or maybe it’s emotional hurt from the disillusionment of chasing the rainbows of our reverie, or from the disappointment of broken dreams or promises that stayed up in the air. All very Piscean issues, yet the new moon suggests seeds or fragments of a new or renewed dream that will blossom in very real ways.
Chiron in Pisces is about the emotional relief the solution brings. Mars square to Chiron suggests it’s a challenging journey to get there but the new moon is about that new sense of relief as an open door for future growth and experience.
How you can use this new moon energy to further your own healing:
In myth, Chiron was the centaur who couldn’t heal himself. He was a renowned healer of others, but for himself he never found the remedy. This new moon could be a time to revisit areas where you feel you can’t forgive yourself, or that you or someone else did something to you that can’t be undone.
Underneath hurt is often unresolved grief or loss, so Pisces style self-care of compassion, acceptance and understanding applied unconditionally might soothe or comfort in new and healing ways.
Its also a time to look at what beliefs you are surrendering to. Do you believe things about yourself that disempower you? Or make you feel sad? Or make you feel frightened? Surrender to beliefs that make you feel better, not worse.
Addictions and habits often indicate areas where we are believing things about ourselves that don't serve us, denying us the reverie of our own Soul happiness. So allowing ourselves to feel the void of our own denial, instead of numbing it out with activities or substances is the first step in finding our way to closing the gaps that our distorted self-belief has left within us. Surrendering to true happiness, unconditionally, means giving up the pain of self-denial.
Pisces is a water sign, which means it’s about emotions. Physical disease is always a symptom of underlying emotional dis-ease, so this new moon is a good opportunity to look beyond physical symptoms by looking within to the emotions and feelings that accompany the illness or condition.
Abraham Hicks have said that the conditions of any disease or illness is designed to perpetuate and support the emotion/s that are experienced during it. In other words, look at how your illness or uncomfortable situation makes you feel while suffering in it (fearful, angry, unworthy, unlovable, etc etc) and consider how that the illness or set of circumstances works to hold that very emotion in place within you.
So emotional healing, not just physical healing, is a necessary step for any ailment or unwanted situation, in order for lasting healing to occur, and this new moon is a potent symbol of new emotional healing through new emotional understanding and awareness in weeks and months to come.
These words say it all:
THE OLD HEALER TO THE SOUL:
It's not your back that hurts, but the burden.
It's not your eyes that hurt, but injustice.
It's not your head that hurts, it's your thoughts.
Not the throat, but what you don't express or say with anger.
Not the stomach hurts, but what the soul does not digest.
It's not the liver that hurts, it's the anger.
It's not your heart that hurts, but love.
And it is love itself that contains the most powerful medicine.

2018 March Horoscopes
Aries
21st March – 20th April
First week is about going with the flow, which works well
for you, especially full moon on 2nd (and on 4th). Mercury
and Venus are together most of the month in your sign, which means whispered
sweet nothings, and the power of kind and loving thoughts. Midmonth has plenty
of challenges to get your teeth into and new moon on 17th has mellow
healing vibes mixed with strong desire be a mover and shaker in what matters
most. From 20th the sun is in your sign, energising and magnetising
your hearts desire, and from 23rd the past meets present when
Mercury retrogrades. End of month, storms clear the air and a clouded mind.
Taurus
21st April – 21st May
Keep a pen and paper by the bed as there’s a sleepless
full moon on 2nd full of bright ideas and inspired solutions (also
around 28th). It’s a month of fun and friendship, with focus on involvement
with groups and gatherings. Teamwork flows nicely as there’s a oneness or
spirit that everyone gels with. New moon on 17th is about new
beginnings linked to all this and some powerful healing vibes too. Spring
equinox on 20th energises your spiritual chart. So does Mercury
retrograde from 23rd when past meets present. Final week you’re
sorting priorities and feeling pushed to be more pushy about what you really
want.
Gemini
22nd May – 21st June
This is a month of promise and potential. Positive
expectation pays off. That’s not to say there aren’t challenges; (there are
lots of them midmonth!) but the faith, hope and clarity indicated by planets in
your aims and ambition chart will keep you buoyant and carry you downstream,
instead of struggling against the current (especially 17th). The
full moon (2nd) in your chart of home, family and comfort zones
means you’re sorting out what matters to you deep down (beautifully on the 4th),
Mercury and Venus together all month in your friendship chart means there’s a
basis of harmony and happiness, and Mercury retrogrades from 23rd,
so perhaps there are faces and places from the past to reconnect with.
Cancer
22nd June – 22nd July
First week is about finding the balance between letting
things ‘be’ and sorting stuff out. Mercury and Venus are together all month in
your aims and ambition chart, which is great for sorting stuff, and for harmonious
and direct communication with authority figures and bosses, etc. An important
new moon (17th) is about new perspectives and horizons. It’s
important because it carries powerful healing energy, which means answers and
solutions that soften the sore points of situations. Midmonth and end of month
can bring obstacles or challenges to confront, but from 20th you are
so focused on moving up your ladder of success that you won’t allow much to
bring you back down.
Leo
23rd July – 23rd August
In many ways March is about going with the flow, it’s
about accepting what you can’t change (for now) and getting on with what you
can, some of which might be a bit mundane or boring but still needs to be done.
Like spring cleaning, you’re sorting out and clearing up, ready for what’s ahead.
There are some challenges, mainly midmonth and final week, but there’s a lovely
link between Mercury and Venus all month that brings harmony and happy
communication that opens new horizons. There’s also a powerful new moon on 17th,
in your trust and intimacy chart, that opens a door to deepening connections
and healing past hurts.
Virgo
24th August – 22nd September
The annual full moon in your sign on 2nd is
about your relationship with yourself. For some time you’ve been going through
a cycle of inner growth, by processing and integrating some quite tough
experiences. Now you’re feeling more complete about it all (especially around
the 4th), and ready for the next step, which is about relationship
with others. There are some spectacular healing energies around the new moon in
your relationship chart (17th), and though there are always
challenges to contend with (especially perhaps midmonth), new moons indicate
new beginnings are underway. In other words, this is the beginning of
deepening, softening and soothing certain relationships, and for connecting
with kindred spirits and soulmates, especially ‘the one’.
Libra
23rd September – 23rd October
There’s lots to sort out as March gets underway, and
you’re doing it your way. Relationships might be one area that changes are made,
and this is seen particularly from 20th and 23rd. Your ruler, Venus,
travels with Mercury all month, indicating loyalty, harmonious communication,
and a sense of what to say and the right time to say it. Many planets are in
your health and wellbeing chart, so this will be a focus too, and there is a
healing-themed new moon on 17th which might bring up past hurts, but
only because you can deal with them from your improved current perspective.
Scorpio
24th October – 22nd November
There’s a certain amount of patience needed this month,
as things seem to have their own schedule that doesn’t match your preferred
pace. Frustrating at times, but it’s also a reflection of how you’re feeling
about certain things: on one hand you’re wanting to move forward, on the other
hand you’re not so sure. If you deal with the impatience and frustration your
aiming at yourself then situations sort out too. Making peace with circumstances,
lots of acceptance, giving yourself a break, and a bit of going with the flow is
the solution. Also deep breaths, meditation and plenty of power naps.
Sagittarius
23rd November – 21st December
For much of the month there’s a lot revolving around home
and family matters, and full moon on 2nd suggests you’re ready to get
more specific and sort the details out on some long-term plans. Obstacles or
delays are to be expected when there’s big stuff to sort, but there’s an
underlying vibe of flow and ease this month, that you can catch in your quiet
moments then situations catch it from you. It’s a creative month too; getting
your message across and finding the right folk to co-create is a challenge you
enjoy, possibly with links to the past, especially during final week.
Capricorn
22nd December – 20th January
Communication is key this month, with many planets focused
on getting your message across, and on your superpower, which is your ability
to listen (accept) what others are saying. You’re also finding information
you’ve been looking for, or maybe it’s resurfacing or not lost anymore
(especially by end of month). Your concentrating more on home and family
matters as March goes on and there may be meetings, visits or reunions, or
perhaps it’s time now to address or sort a situation that has needed attention
for a while. Mars is in your sign from 17th, which is about feeling much more
motivated to move forward.
Aquarius
21st January – 18th February
Your attention is on what makes you feel secure and
grounded as March gets underway, and for you that’s the ability to dream beyond
current circumstances. Some accuse you of having your head in the clouds, but
it’s not escapism, you are literally magnetising and manifesting new
circumstances by imagining where you want to go, and what could be more secure
and grounded than that? So this month is about holding your focus on what you
want, regardless of what others have to say (especially midmonth and final
week). You also have a lot to say to others, as communication is increasingly
important, especially from 20th. It’s a month like no other for
information, messages and making (and breaking) contacts.
Pisces
19th February – 20th March
Full moon on 2nd puts relationship and
partnership in the spotlight. It’s about getting clear emotionally and feeling
more empowered, whether it’s romance, family or career relationships. The first
week of March in general can be really good for you, as planets in your sign are
energising and inspiring (especially 4th). From midmonth you need
focus and patience to navigate finances and career plans, then the annual new
moon in Pisces (17th) is about a new you in some way, and a new
image or approach suits you. From 20th and especially final week,
finances, income and property are under review or returning to the past somehow,
as are links to friends, teamwork, and groups.

2018 January Horoscopes
Happy New Year! After some frustrating computer problems I can at last post the first horoscopes of 2018 :) January is a month where emotions run deep, and transformation and change feels inevitable. It's a powerful start to the year...
Aries
21st March – 20th April
The supermoon on 2nd lights up your home and family chart. It’s about balancing comfort zones with long-term ambition. Your ruler, mighty Mars, meets expansive Jupiter around 9th, for a mega-powerful time of healing, renewal, opportunity, and inspired action. Planets are also gathering strength in your career, status and reputation chart, which means you are too, especially 6th, 9th, 13th, and new moon time on 17th, which is all about new steps to success. After 20th the focus shifts to friends, groups, gatherings and teamwork, and the full moon eclipse on 30th is about the emotional bonds you make. It’s also a blue moon, so events might feel rare or unusual at that time.
Taurus
21st April – 21st May
The supermoon on 2nd is all about communication, information, new beliefs and perspectives. Planets are gathering in your travel and education chart, which means new vistas and visas for mind, body and soul are underway, and the new moon on 17th is very much about the first steps of a new journey. A spectacular meeting involving Mars and Jupiter, is active much of the month (most intense around 8th or 9th), in your relationship chart, which indicates very powerful partnership experiences, whether romance, business, or friendship. Then a full eclipse on the 30th, which is also a blue moon, indicates home and family matters have your full attention.
Gemini
22nd May – 21st June
It’s a powerful beginning to 2018. A supermoon on the 2nd spotlights income and resources, and sets the tone for the whole month and beyond. Also, planets are gathering in your chart of transformation, regeneration and renewal, and it’s all about building trust by not needing to control the uncontrollable. This is easier than you think, especially around 7th, as daily schedules, occupation, health and fitness all fill you with faith and renewed sense of purpose (with memories of early December somehow too). New moon on 17th is about new commitment and structure for deepest relationships, then from 20th it’s all about travel, education, and new perspectives. Then a full moon eclipse on 30th means events are having long-term impact now.
Cancer
22nd June – 22nd July
Lots of lunar activity means it’s a big month for you. A Supermoon in your sign (2nd) kicks off the new year with inspiration, information, and imagination. It’s all in preparation for an intensely transformative and creative period, especially up to midmonth. A new moon of new beginnings takes place in your relationship chart on 17th, which means new or renewed partnerships, and contracts and agreements are under construction all month, especially around 6th, 8th, 14th, 17th, and 24th. Then there’s an eclipse on 30th, in your chart of income and resources. It’s also a blue moon, and yes, that means rare or unusual happenings are afoot.
Leo
23rd July – 23rd August
A cosy comfort zone full moon on the 2nd is about a little quiet retreat and reflection, in readiness for the full steam ahead vibes that are building from early January. Home and family matters become busy, intense, and involve long-term plans and expansion. It’s a great month to be working from home or working on your home, and the new moon on 17th suggests new commitments and responsibility for daily life and occupation; and for health and wellbeing too (new year resolutions are easy to maintain this month). After 20th the focus is very much on partnership and agreements and the relationship full moon eclipse on 30th means what matters now matters in future too.
Virgo
24th August – 22nd September
It’s one of the most creative and constructive months of 2018 for you, symbolised by the supermoon on the 2nd which matches your mood to get working on some long-term plans you’ve been pondering for a while. Around the 7th and up to midmonth there might be memories of events early December, along with some intensely productive communication and dialogue. New moon on 17th is about new responsibilities, and maybe more pressure too, but this is something you’re taking in your stride right now. After 20th you’re focusing on streamlining your day, and a powerful, spiritual full moon eclipse on 30th is about acting on the logic of your heart as well as your head.
Libra
23rd September – 23rd October
January is a strong start to 2018. The Supermoon on 2nd is about getting more emotionally involved with long-term plans and ambition, and home and family matters are constructive and productive, leading to the new moon of new beginnings on 17th. Up to midmonth there’s a powerful meeting of Jupiter and Mars in your income and resources chart, which indicates lots of activity and expansion in that area, and this links to home and family life somehow too (echoes of events early December might also be relevant). From 20th you’re focused on creativity, fun and entertainment, and the full moon eclipse on 30th is about turning points in friendships.
Scorpio
24th October – 22nd November
2018 starts powerfully, with a supermoon on 2nd, and Jupiter and Mars meeting in your sign all second week (strongest around 8th). Jupiter indicates opportunity and self-confidence while Mars is about action and movement. Together they suggest you can achieve a huge amount in a short time. Communication, information, learning, local area, and transport are all in focus and productive and constructive, with events revolving around responsibility, authority, limits and boundaries. Sibling relationships remain significant too, and new moon on 17th is about new paths of stability and structure. From 20th home and family life is busy again, and the bluemoon eclipse (30th) is about recognition and the spotlight, now and in coming months.
Sagittarius
23rd November – 21st December
Your ruling planet Jupiter meets mighty planet Mars (strongest around 8th, but lasts up to midmonth). It’s a formidable union indicating deep and meaningful experiences of faith, belief, and opportunity. It’s a heady combination to feel blessed, inspired and invincible, especially when focused towards income and resources in practical ways. And you do have a practical head on your shoulders for most of January, enjoying new responsibility, hard work and productivity Mars moves into your sign from 26th, which means you’re active and energetic, then a full moon eclipse on 30th in your travel and education chart suggests you’re hungry to broaden horizons in coming months.
Capricorn
22nd December – 19th January
It’s your time of year, Capricorn, and there’s plenty of planetary activity supporting your plans and ambitions. The supermoon on 2nd is about important communication in relationships, contracts and agreements. Then up to midmonth it’s an intensely busy, and transforming time, especially relating to friends, groups, and gatherings. The new moon in your sign on the 17th is about a new commitment to a new you. Then the sun spotlights your finance and resources chart from 20th, and unusually there’s a full moon eclipse on 30th, which is also a blue moon. It activates themes around transformation, deep healing, trust and intimacy, which impacts situations for weeks or months to come.
Aquarius
20th January – 18th February
The supermoon on 2nd is about feeling like you’re moving forward again. You’re focused on the nitty gritty of getting new plans and structures up and running, especially regarding career aims, but it’s also long-term plans in general. This is strongest around 8th, but is active for much of the month. Spirituality and the discipline and practice of a path like meditation or yoga is also a theme for January, and new moon on 17th is a good time for a new beginning. Sun is in your sign from 20th, and there’s a relationship eclipse on 30th which sets a theme or tone for coming months. It’s a blue moon, so maybe it’s about rare or unusual happenings.
Pisces
19th February – 20th March
2018 starts with a supermoon on 2nd. It’s a moon with a message to enjoy yourself and find the most creative and entertaining ways to get the year started. Friendship and fun go together for January, along with support, given and received. Links to groups and teamwork are well-starred too, as it’s the shared purpose that gives a sense of stability and structure. Second week (especially 9th) is a powerful period of transformation and renewal, when your faith can be restored big time. New moon on 17th is about new starts for friends and groups, then momentum builds to a problem-solving full moon eclipse on 30th. Appreciation and gratitude work like magic at this time.Sunday, December 03, 2017
December 2017 Horoscopes
Here are my horoscopes for December! Hope you enjoy :)
Aries
21st March – 20th April
Not the easiest of starts to December for you as you’re
preparing for new adventures and new approaches yet obstacles keep cropping up,
so you don’t fully free to just dive in and get on with it. There’s lots
happening around travel and education, especially midmonth; then Saturn, planet
of responsibility, limits and boundaries, moves into your career, reputation,
and ambition chart for the next two years, from the 20th. It can
bring pressure but also progress, it rewards hard work and integrity, and helps
you step up the long-term ladder of success. Just don’t get disheartened by
limits and delays on the way.
Taurus
21st April – 21st May
Communication or information comes to light under
December’s full moon (3rd) that feels like unfinished business. There’s
a lot that requires trust and faith in the process this month, which you’ve
become a master at dealing with in recent years (by treating the process as an
adventure or journey). From 20th Saturn moves into your chart of belief
and perspective for the next two years. Saturn brings structure and form that
supports long-term progress and development in that area, so plans for anything
that broadens horizons mentally or physically, like travel or education will
slowly take shape. Things don’t happen overnight with Saturn situations, so a
bit of patience keeps you sane (especially around 21st and 25th).
Gemini
22nd May – 21st June
The annual full moon in your sign on 3rd
magnifies feelings and your hunger for fulfilment of certain situations. Mercury
retrogrades at this time, indicating past communication or information
returning to importance during December; especially for relationships,
contracts and agreements (perhaps being resolved early January). New or renewed
commitment in relationships is likely from 18th, and from 20th
planet Saturn moves into your trust and intimacy chart for the next two years,
suggesting things are getting serious. Energy or confidence might feel temporarily
depleted at that time, but Mercury is moving forward from 23rd, indicating
you are too.
Cancer
22nd June – 22nd July
During first week of December events might confound or
confuse unless you take your intuition seriously, as it’s your sixth sense
helping you get clear, find answers, and make sense of communication. The new
moon on the 18th is about new adventures linked to daily routine and
occupation. Then planet Saturn, the sun, and Venus, move into your relationship
chart, from around 20th (last time Saturn was here was 28years ago!)
Saturn brings definition and structure to relationships, as well as long-term
commitments, limits and boundaries. All this can feel either restrictive or
stabilising, which is a reoccurring theme for the foreseeable.
Leo
23rd July – 23rd August
For two years Saturn has been in your chart of fun, romance
and creativity, which has been more about the rules of the game rather than
enjoyment of the game (although this month there’s plenty to enjoy). Saturn is
also about commitment and responsibility, as well as the pressure of deadlines,
limits and boundaries, and it brought new structure and form to this area of
your life. Loose ends are being tied up on certain situations all month
(especially around 18th), then Saturn moves to your chart of health,
fitness and daily occupation (20th) where this long-term focused and
disciplined approach fits perfectly.
Virgo
24th August – 22nd September
There’s lots revolving around home and family this month.
Full moon on 3rd is about how you balance your time between home and
work, and about relationship balance too. Mercury in retrograde means family
reunions, or maybe a rethink about long-term plans. Midmonth and around 18th
is about new adventures, and maybe even a new home too. From 20th,
Saturn moves to your creativity, fun and romance chart for the next couple of
years. Saturn brings structure and planning for the long-term, so no point
expecting overnight success, but the rewards always come eventually.
Libra
23rd September – 23rd October
For the past couple of years Saturn has indicated extra
pressure and responsibility on your shoulders linked to communication,
information, community and neighbourhood, and sibling relationships. There were
things only you could address and overcome, and December is no exception, especially
midmonth. Saturn then moves to your home and family chart for the next two
years (from 20th), to bring steady progress and development, as well
as long-term rewards for hard work and effort. Saturn is an upholder of
tradition, which is noticeable in events over the festive period; while comfort
zones have firm foundations and strong boundaries.
Scorpio
24th October – 22nd November
There is focus on finance, income and shared resources
for much of the month. On the 3rd there’s a full moon about this,
with a message that what you perceive you receive, so see yourself as someone
who receives what they want. There’s important communication or information
about finances at that time too; maybe a situation returns or re-emerges to be
dealt with. Planet Saturn leaves your financial chart after two years on 20th,
which can feel like pressure or weight being lifted from that area. Saturn is
now focused on communication, transport and neighbourhood; which indicates more
structure, support, limits and boundaries, especially around 21st
and 25th.
Sagittarius
23rd November – 21st December
Stern Saturn, planet of responsibility, has been in your
sign for two years, suggesting there was no escaping harsh reality in
situations, with ‘character-building’ events as standard. After the 20th
Saturn leaves your sign, which brings a sense of relief, and some pressure
lifting from your shoulders; even though it’s not plain sailing (especially
financially) through the festive period. Before 20th there’s so much
happening that it can cause backlogs and a bit of overwhelm, but dealing with
it feels more like an adventure than a chore. Your annual new moon on the 18th
means you’re planting seeds of important new beginnings, so do take your new
plans and perspectives seriously.
Capricorn
22nd December – 20th January
This month you’re at the centre of all the astrological
action. Saturn, your ruling planet, arrives in your sign for the next two years
from the 20th (last time this happened was about 28 years ago!).
Before that, you might have to wait for some answers you’re wanting but trust
the timing on it all while remaining patiently impatient, especially around the
spiritual new moon of new beginnings on the 18th. The sun arrives in
your sign from 21st, which makes a rare meeting of sun and Saturn
for you, joined by Venus on 25th. It suggests strength, support,
creativity, and harmony. Not a bad way to welcome in the new year.
Aquarius
21st January – 18th February
Things are revolving around friendship, groups and
gatherings for much of the month. Finding those who you really resonate with,
and want to share a path with has been important for a long time, and December
is no exception. What happens during the first week amplifies all this, while
what happens around new moon time (18th) involves long-term
commitment. Then Saturn, planet of structure and discipline, moves into the
most spiritual part of your chart from 20th, for the next two years.
This is a positive place for Saturn, indicating integrity and stability. It
means no shallow escapism or flights of fancy will satisfy; Saturn seeks the
real deal and finds it.
Pisces
19th February – 20th March
There’s big focus on long-term plans and ambition for
much of the month. The full moon first week (3rd) speaks of a balancing
act between work and home; and those long-term plans (especially regarding
career) reach a turning point at that time, where you’re reaching to the past
to bring balance to the present. There’s is a lot happening around that all
month, including another turning point about 20th, when Saturn moves
into your chart of friendship, groups and gatherings. It can mean you’re not in
the mood to be sociable, or it can mean you’re becoming more of a support to a
friend, or a mentor to others. Maybe some of it all.

September 2017 Horoscopes
Here are my horoscopes for this month! I have readings available from my website. You can book by clicking here: bondwiththemoon.co.uk
I am an empath, working with astrology, tarot, and energy healing. Happy September to you :)
Aries
21st March – 20th April
Big astro news is for final week of September, when lucky
Jupiter and revolutionary Uranus meet for the third and final time (previously
late last December and this March). Like the other times, it indicates a
positive period of freedom, expansion, opportunity and unconventional or
unexpected happenings, especially in relationships or with contracts and
agreements. But before all that you’re intent on sorting out health and fitness
matters, refining and improving your daily schedule, and developing strategies
and solutions for work and career. Your logical brain is on overdrive with all
this, but don’t squash your intuitive input with logic, as your sixth sense is
working brilliantly too (especially full moon on 6th midmonth, and
new moon on 20th).
Taurus
21st April – 21st May
Creativity is at an all-time high this month, so make the
most of how effortless things are for you right now regarding your plans and
projects. Motivation is strong, and your mind is crystal clear with ideas and
strategies. Anything that requires attention to detail or small print will go
well, particularly after 6th when Mercury ends its Retrograde phase
during a friendly and fun-filled full moon. Romance too is very much on the
agenda, and the new moon (20th) indicates new or renewed
relationships. Final week is about lucky breaks and unexpected opportunities,
so keeping the faith, or leaps of faith, might work nicely in your favour.
Gemini
22nd May – 21st June
Lots of focus this month on home and family and long-term
plans, especially around full moon on 6th. It might coincide with a
turning point or change of direction as Mercury Retrograde ends that day. Also in
the spotlight is creativity, romance, contracts and relationships, especially from
20th and during final week (it all might connect to March or late
December somehow). September in general is about sorting stuff out. There was a
lot of redefining and reframing of situations last month, and now you’re making
some decisions based on these new ways of seeing things. New Moon on 20th
is about what’s new and beginning from that.
Cancer
22nd June – 22nd July
For much of September it’s about communication,
information and sorting stuff out. Getting your message across really matters
to you, which might be easier once Mercury ends Retrograde from 6th.
Miscommunication or delays might clear up from then too. Sibling relationships
or sibling-style relationships might be significant in this, along with local
area, community and neighbourhood. New moon on 20th is about what’s
new and getting underway linked to all of this. Final week there’s a fabulous
meeting of planets (last times were late December and March), and it’s about
unexpected opportunities coming your way. So in a surprising turn of events, what
was impossible suddenly seems entirely possible.
Leo
23rd July – 23rd August
There’s loads of attention on finances and resources
during September. You’re in the mood to sort stuff out, clear clutter, balance
books, read small print, and generally be super practical and efficient. Full
moon on 6th brings certain situations to a head linked to this, with
maybe a change of mind or approach that helps heal broken trust, or just deepens
trust. New beginnings are indicated around new moon on 20th, then
from 22nd the focus is on communication, information and what’s new
to learn. An interesting meeting of planets during final week suggests unexpected
opportunities and expansion. It might feel like your faith has been rewarded,
so hold your nerve all month when it comes to optimism and positivity.
Virgo
24th August – 22nd September
Planets are focusing on you, indicating a busy and active
month. Sun is in your sign until 22nd, so you’re ready to shine and
be recognised, and Mars (willpower and motivation) is in your sign from 5th.
Logical Mercury ends retrograde then too, so delays or obstacles back to late
July might end too. An emotionally moving full moon in your relationship house (6th)
indicates the next logical step is toward romance, love, and healing. This theme
is repeated in the important annual new moon in your sign (20th)
which is also about a new you and starting afresh. Venus (love and values), in
your sign from 20th, means you’re attracting who and what really
matters to you.
Libra
22nd September – 23rd October
You might be feeling more introspective or introverted until
the sun moves into your sign on 22nd, so make the most of your
desire to relax, chill, and meditate, along with your increased intuition and
psychic sense. Final week of September sees a rare planet alignment between
Jupiter and Uranus. It’s the third and final meeting (previously late last December
and March), and for you it’s all about positive yet unexpected expansion and
opportunity, in relationships, and in your appearance and approach to the
world. Situations might encourage leaps of faith, or breaks in routine and the
mood might be electric and unconventional. Basically, the month ends very
differently to how it starts.
Scorpio
24th October – 22nd November
Situations involving friendships, groups, gatherings, and
teamwork are important this month. You are sorting things out, refining things,
getting clear on details, and on the finer points of everything. No matter how
many of you are involved, it’s the little things that mean a lot and have the
strongest impact, especially around 9th and 22nd. Towards
end of September and especially final week, planet Uranus and planet Jupiter
connect for a third and final time (before this was late last December and
March). Like previous times, it indicates events where your faith is unexpectedly
rewarded; it’s also about breakthroughs and solutions, and sudden strokes of
good luck.
Sagittarius
23rd November – 21st December
Long term plans and ambitions are highlighted this month,
along with situations and events that revolve around the most public aspect of
your life. It’s all about the process and strategy you’re taking to move things
forward, and the full moon (6th) brings clarity on this, as well as
a possible change of direction or change of mind somehow. Final week is
particularly interesting for you. Your ruler Jupiter meets revolutionary planet
Uranus for the 3rd time (previously March and late last December).
It is a strong and sure sign that you can take the unexpected or unconventional
path in certain situations, and have things work out brilliantly.
Capricorn
22nd December – 20th January
You’ve got your practical head on this month: you’re in
the mood to sort stuff out, whether it’s clearing actual clutter or finding
answers to burning questions. Full moon (6th) is about a change of
direction, view or opinion, perhaps from information or communication. Midmonth
your intuition and inspiration is at a high but so is your scepticism, so it’s
a challenge to trust it. New moon (20th) is about new beginnings
linked to travel or education, with an emphasis on healing and communication.
Final week brings unexpected and positive expansion that pulls you out of your
comfort zone and into exciting opportunities (maybe echoing events late last
December or March this year).
Aquarius
21st January – 18th February
It’s all about trusting the process, and being
comfortable in unknown territory right now. It’s like feeling for the light
switch in the dark, so just keep going until light can be shed on the
situation. Don’t think that being in the dark means you’re not getting
anywhere, as things are moving forward and sorting out nicely. Final week of
September there’s a spectacular meeting (third of three meetings: late last
December, March and now) between unconventional planet Uranus (your ruling
planet), and lucky Jupiter, suggesting unexpected but good things arising.
Communication, travel and education, income and resources are all connecting in
the most positive of ways and the most interesting of opportunities.
Pisces
19th February – 20th March
There’s huge emphasis on all relationships this month (especially
around new moon on 20th), whether it’s romance, business
partnerships and contracts, or family. Full moon in your sign (6th)
is about certain relationship situations coming to a head, along with a change
of direction or turning point happening that you might have been waiting a
while for from others. It might be hard to emotionally detach or not take
things personally at that time, and at new moon time, when it’s all about
starting new relationships and healing old relationship emotional wounds. Obstacles
seem to melt away during final week, and you’re breaking routines and old
habits then too.

Solar Eclipse 21st August 2017 - Alignment and Union
“...to love another person is
to see the face of God” – from Les Miserables
So here we are on the great solar eclipse day of 21st
August 2017. It happens during the new moon in the sign of Leo, the sign of
heart and soul (the solar eclipse is always during the new moon, and lunar eclipse
is always during the full moon). It’s happening at 19.24 UK time, though there’s
not much to see this side of the pond, it’s all happening in the United States.
Eclipses are part of the natural, awesome, clockwork-style cycle of
our solar system, and so they have a positive message built in to them, even if we can't always see the full picture at first. This one, happening
during the new moon, indicates significant new ‘Leo-themed’ beginnings are
underway, with long-term impact and significance, for weeks, months, maybe even
years to come.
Matters of the heart, fun, joy, entertainment, creativity, recognition,
the spotlight, true self and sovereignty are all Leo themes. We might already have an idea what this means for us,
if events are already heading in that direction; or this might be the time in
which we make some new choices and decisions about the future, with some or all
these themes in mind.
I interpret eclipses as expressions of ALIGNMENT and UNION.
It’s about the lining up of things by the universe, in the most perfect, mysterious, complex, and very visible way. Astrology is about ‘as above so below’, so what’s
happening ‘up there’ is happening within us too. This is a time for us to get our ducks in a row, and align
more precisely and effectively with our heart's desire.
More so than other eclipses, because Leo is about
creativity, the heart, and sovereignty, this eclipse speaks directly to the idea that we CREATE OUR OWN REALITY. We are the Kings and Queens of our destiny, the Gods and Goddesses of our own free will, through our open-hearted focus, perceptions, and judgments, of ourselves and others, we shape an idea of
reality that the universe literally responds to and supports us by manifesting.
‘ENERGY FLOWS WHERE ATTENTION GOES’ was the very first metaphysical lesson I learnt many years ago; the same message that Law of Attraction has for us
today. If you want to create what you do want, focus on what you do want. If you want
to create what you don’t want, focus on what you don’t want. Simple in theory, yet challenging to do in a world that pulls our attention in so many ways to so many things that are not actually in our best interests to focus on deeply. We often end up focused on what we don't want, while expecting the universe to respond to what we do want.
So this is what the message of the Leo eclipse is about. Align with what you want, to create the world you want. Be
the sovereign of your own reality. Own your power to align with your true self,
within yourself. You can know you are doing this by the natural heartfelt appreciation for self and
others that radiates through an open heart and mind.
This eclipse time is a good time to ponder where we are out of alignment
with all that,
for example:
Leo is the heart: Is yours open or closed?
Leo is sovereignty: Are you feeling empowered or dis-empowered as the leader of your life?
Leo is creativity: What makes your heart sing? What interests
you and calls you forward?
Leo is the spotlight: Where do you want more recognition and
visibility?
Set the eclipse intention to experience more alignment with the Leo
themes in your life. Treat eclipse time as a reboot, a reset and reconnection; with yourself and your hearts desires. Meditation and visualisation are powerful tools for alignment, but nothing is as powerful as enjoying and loving the process.... we experience the satisfying sound of situations clicking into place
by loving them into place, enjoying them into place, appreciating them into
place. It's the Leo way.

August 2017 Horoscopes
Aries
21st March – 20th April
There are two eclipses this month, indicating long-term trends and
cycles underway. Your ruler Mars is at the center of the eclipse pattern, so
for you there’s lots of action and activity. The full moon lunar eclipse (7th)
is about things coming to a head related to friendships, groups and gatherings.
It’s also about keeping your mind and heart open to your hopes, dreams and
future vision. The new moon solar eclipse (21st) is about fresh new
beginnings related to creativity, love-life, fun and entertainment. It’s a very
positive and empowering eclipse pattern, which means it’s easier to sync up
with the benefits and rewards of your situation, now and in future.
Taurus
21st April – 21st May
Change is in the air, indicated by two eclipses during August.
Events around eclipse time often have long-term significance and meaning, and
these are no exception. The full moon lunar eclipse (7th) is about
things coming to a head or coming full circle, regarding plans, aims and
ambitions (especially linked to career). Perhaps events from around February
time are relevant somehow. The new moon solar eclipse (21st)
highlights home and family matters, and speaks of new beginnings now or in the
coming months, for this area of your life. The eclipse picture is strong and
positive, despite indicating a few challenges on the way (first week and
midmonth), so there’s plenty in store to look forward to.
Gemini
22nd May – 21st June
August is deeply transforming for love-life, creativity, and
communication. It’s time to let go and trust what takes you more deeply into
your heart (especially first week, also 12th, 15th, 17th,
27th). Mercury retrogrades (appears to move backwards) from 13th,
indicating a different perspective is required, especially related to home and
family matters. It’s all reflected in the message of two important eclipses
this month, which are about long-term change. The faith-filled full moon
eclipse on 7th is about direction and purpose. Maybe there are talks
about where things are going. Then the positive and upbeat new moon eclipse (21st)
is about important new beginnings, now and in months to come, especially for
communication and information.
Cancer
22nd June – 22nd July
August has two eclipses, which is always big news for you, being
ruled by the moon. Eclipses are about events with long-term impact for plans
and progress, and the full moon lunar eclipse (7th) spotlights your
chart of deep healing. Events come to a head where trust has been an issue, and
regarding how much you want to share with others (you can be an iceberg when it
suits, with so much hidden under the surface). The new moon solar eclipse (21st)
is like the next step, with a message of new beginnings in coming months linked
to income, resources, self-worth and self-esteem. What happened during February
might have relevance to all this somehow too.
Leo
23rd July – 23rd August
There are two fabulous eclipses in August, both involving your
sign in a big way. Eclipses indicate changes are afoot, and events around their
dates tend to have long-term impact. The full moon eclipse (7th) is
about certain situations coming to a head or moving and transforming after a
stalemate. Events from February might be relevant somehow, and relationships,
partnerships, contracts and agreements are the focus. The solar new moon
eclipse in your sign on 21st is the astro event of the year for you,
indicating an important new life chapter is underway. A new you is emerging;
more steady, stable, bold, and productive than ever. Relationships, romance,
travel and education are all in the spotlight from now.
Virgo
24th August – 22nd September
Logical Mercury is in your sign, so you’re on a mission to get
things sorted; in your own mind at least. Mercury meets foggy Neptune midmonth,
which can cloud some issues; then is retrograde (appearing to move backwards)
from 13th, indicating a change of mind or direction. There are two
eclipses with a message of long-term change: the full moon eclipse (7th)
is also about getting things sorted, especially at work or with health and
fitness. The new moon solar eclipse (21st) happens in the most
spiritual angle of your chart and indicates new clarity and spiritual
awakening. It means intuitive ideas often seem illogical or irrational, yet
notice how perfectly the pieces fit the bigger picture.
Libra
23rd September – 23rd October
There’s a cleansing and clearing process happening first week of
August (also midmonth and 24th), so trust the process instead of
overreacting or bottle things up. There are also two extremely positive
eclipses with impact for months, even years to come. The full moon lunar
eclipse (7th) spotlights creative projects and matters of the heart,
where things seem ready to come to fruition or full circle. On the 21st,
the new moon solar eclipse is about new beginnings involving friends, groups,
teams and gatherings. It’s also about becoming more aware of your current
vision for the future, and how the universe will support your hopes, dreams and
wishes. This eclipse is about dreams coming true, more than ever before.
Scorpio
24th October – 22nd November
There are two eclipses during August. The lunar eclipse on the 7th
indicates things coming to head in certain situations right now, especially
regarding home and family matters. What happened around February time might be
relevant this month too. Events around eclipses often have long-term
significance and coincide with important changes, and the new moon eclipse on
the 21st speaks of new beginnings, new plans, new goals and
ambitions emerging in coming months, particularly linked to career, but any
area where you’ve been wanting recognition and the chance to shine. It’s not
always plain sailing this month (4th, 9th, 13th,
15th, 25th) but the eclipse picture still indicates
positivity reigns supreme.
Sagittarius
23rd November – 21st December
August starts with a transformational first week for finances,
friendships and your connections with groups, teams and gatherings. The full
moon eclipse (7th) has long-term impact, and is highlighting
communication, travel and education (The phrase ‘when the student is ready, the
teacher appears’ seems to fit). Midmonth, plans or partners might be
temporarily backtracking (not stalling), but don’t assume the worst. Meanwhile,
you’re feeling more clear, creative, disciplined and productive than you have
in months (especially from 25th, when even extra responsibility
feels like an adventure). The theme of the powerful new moon eclipse on the 21st
is that the joy is in your journey right now, but the destination looks
promising too.
Capricorn
22nd December – 20th January
Demands of first week in August might bring out your inner control
freak and your intensely ambitious side. But rise above power struggles because
you have true transformation and renewal happening (especially in career).
There are two important eclipses this month, indicating long-term change and
developments. The full moon lunar eclipse (7th) focuses on finances,
resources, and self-worth (including self-esteem), and events have a sense of
completion and culmination about them. The new moon solar eclipse (21st)
is about holding your nerve with what’s unknown or uncertain, particularly
regarding shared resources (easier from 25th). It’s a positive,
future-focused eclipse, despite any challenges. It’s about real stability, firm
foundations, and true freedom of spirit.
Aquarius
21st January – 18th February
There are two important eclipses this month, the first is a full
moon eclipse in your sign on the 7th, indicating that a significant
turnaround, change of direction or change of approach is happening within you
regarding some ongoing situations. Relationships, contracts and agreements are
relevant to this all month, especially during the new moon eclipse on 21st,
when it’s a busy, bold, proactive and productive time for new beginnings. There
are twists and turns this month, as well as hidden dynamics and agendas that
are playing out or sometimes acted out (4th, 13th, 15th,
17th, 25th), but in general the eclipses show stability
via change, and the promise of a future you can believe in.
Pisces
19th February – 20th March
There are two eclipses during August, and events at eclipse time
often have long-term impact. The full moon lunar eclipse (7th) takes
place in the most spiritual part of your chart. Events might draw your
attention, through signs, symbols or synchronicity, which gets you thinking
and seeking more from your spiritual path (And perhaps there’s a link to events
back in February somehow?). The new moon solar eclipse (21st) is
about the day to day running of your life, your working day, schedules and
appointments; it’s also health, fitness and wellbeing. It means new beginnings
are manifesting. The planets are in a positive pattern, which means this part
of your life will reflect that too.
